Hep B vaccine shortage

Quantities available to order will be reduced in July-August 2016 due to supply constraints Hep B vaccine shortage

GSK have advised NaTHNaC that they are experiencing supply constraints relating to some of their hepatitis B vaccine products. Quantities available to order will be reduced in July and August 2016. 

Advice for travellers

Risk of hepatitis B for travellers is low although certain behaviours or activities put individuals at higher risk, particularly when these occur in areas where hepatitis B is more common.
