Green Book – updated chapter: Japanese encephalitis

The Japanese encephalitis chapter in the Green Book (Immunisation against infectious diseases) has been updated Green Book – updated chapter: Japanese encephalitis

Public Health England have published updated information and guidance on Japanese encephalitis (JE) (Immunisation against infectious disease: Japanese encephalitis. Chapter 20; updated June 11 2018).

This revised chapter includes:

  • Information about JE transmission
  • New guidance on the use of a rapid schedule of JE vaccine for children from 2 months and adults over 65 years
  • Updated information on the timing of JE vaccine booster doses for different age groups
