Change to telephone advice line opening hours for health professionals
The advice line opening hours are increasing from Monday 16 May 2022
The NaTHNaC telephone advice line is for health professionals who have queries about travellers with complex itineraries and/or travellers with special health needs. We are unable to answer travel health queries from the general public and non-clinical administrative members of staff.
As more people are travelling and demand for travel health information increases we are returning to pre-pandemic advice line hours.
With effect from Monday 16 May 2022 the opening hours will be as follows:
Mornings
- Mondays to Fridays 09:00 – 11:00
Afternoons
- Mondays and Fridays 13:00 – 14:00
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 13:00 – 15:30
It is hoped that these changes to the service hours will assist health professionals as more people begin to travel again. Please ensure that you are familiar with the detailed information available on the Contact Us page. Caller questions can sometimes be answered by reading the information available on the website and our Nurse Advisors need some information before answering queries.
In addition NaTHNaC provides an email enquiry service for health professionals only, who have queries about the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) for yellow fever vaccination.
