As of 2 February 2018, a total of 453 cases (32 confirmed) have been reported in Mombasa County. Cases have been reported in the sub-counties of Mvita (31% of cases), Likoni (23%), Changamwe, Jomvu, Kilifi, Kisauni, and Nyali.

By January 4, 2018, the Ministry of Health had reported 69 cases of Chikungunya, of which 32 samples have been tested at the Kenya Medical Research Institute Labs in Nairobi. 27 of the cases were positive while five were negative. The outbreak has affected all the six-sub counties of Mombasa namely, Mvita, Kisauni, Nyali, Changamwe, Jomvu and Likoni. Most cases are found on the island, Mvita.
