The cholera outbreak in Democratic Republic of the Congo is ongoing since 2015. From 1 January through 27 January 2019, 927 suspected cases and 32 deaths were reported in 16 out of 27 health zones. The city of Lubumbashi remains the epicenter of the outbreak with nine out of 11 affected health zones affected and 815 suspected cases reported.

From 2017 to 25 March 2018, 62,815 suspected cases with 1,357 deaths were notified nationwide. The incidence North Kivu, South Kivu, Haut-Lomami and Tanganyika is decreasing, but there has been a slight increase in cases reported from other provinces: Ituri, Kasaï, Kongo Central, Maniema and Tanganyika.
