On September 10, 2019, CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) were made aware of unofficial reports regarding the unexplained death of a person two days earlier from probable Ebola virus disease (EVD) in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania. WHO is working closely with the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and other international partners to monitor the situation and will provide updates as needed. The ongoing risks from this event are unknown, but at this time travellers should remain aware of the situation, pay careful attention to personal hygiene, avoid direct contact with people who are ill, and seek medical advice if they become unwell.
