As of 4 June 2022, a total of 13,133 cases of dengue have been reported so far this year. The weekly number of cases is expected to rise. June is the beginning of the traditional peak dengue season in this country.
As of 19 April 2022, Singapore are reporting an increase in dengue cases compared to the previous four years. In the week ending 16 April 2022, a total of 735 cases were reported. To prevent cases from escalating, vector control measures are taking place. The DENV-3 serotype which was previously uncommon in Singapore is now circulating.
