As of 10 August 2025, a total of 7,970 clinically diagnosed cases of dengue (2,743 confirmed) and six deaths have been reported since January 2025. Most cases (88%) are from Upola Island. The majority of cases are from Upolu Island. Of the 20 cases with confirmed serotypes, 85% are dengue virus type 1 (DENV-1) and 15% are dengue virus type 2 (DENV2). On 17 April 2025, the Government of Samoa announced a dengue fever outbreak. A total of 15 confirmed dengue cases, including one death, have been reported since January 2025.
