As of 1 July 2025, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have reported 1,267 confirmed measles cases and 3 deaths across 38 jurisdictions in 2025. There have been 27 outbreaks reported in 2025, and 88 percent of confirmed cases are outbreak-associated. Most cases have been reported in Texas (over 700 cases). As of 17 April 2025, a total of 800 cases of measles have been reported in the United States in 2025. This is the second highest annual case count in the United States in 25 years. 654 (82%) cases have been reported from New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
