As of 31 July 2025, the World Health Organization has confirmed a total of three fatal mpox cases in Cameroon for 2025. Mpox clades Ia and II (a and/or b) have been reported. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on mpox.

Mpox in Cameroon

As of 9 July 2025, the Ministry of Health in Cameroon confirmed a case of mpox (clade I) in a child from Ayos district. This is the first confirmed case in 2025. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on mpox.
