Cyclosporiasis in USA
As of 28 July 2026, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had received reports of 6,707 laboratory confirmed domestic cases of cyclosporiasis since 1 May 2026. An additional 11,500 cases are under investigation. Many of the additional cases have been reported by Michigan and Ohio.

As of 18 July 2026, over 1,644 confirmed cases of Cyclospora have been reported in a multi-state outbreak since 1 May 2026. An additional 5,100 cases are under investigation. Cases have been linked to contaminated shredded iceberg lettuce.

As of 13 July 2026, more than 400 cases of Cyclospora have been reported from four states in connection with this multistate outbreak: Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia. Additional cases are under investigation. A specific food item as not yet been confirmed as the source.
