Public Health England has published updated detailed guidelines on rabies post-exposure treatment.

This includes updated guidance on

  • clarifying the risk assessment of possible bat exposures and confirmed rabid animals.
  • pet travel when the UK leaves the European Union.
  • rabies vaccines and immunoglobulin compatible with the UK schedule.
