NaTHNaC has updated the country-specific recommendations for cholera Country-specific cholera recommendations 2019

NaTHNaC has recently reviewed and updated the cholera country-specific information and recommendations. This review was based on World Health Organization cholera case reports 2013 to 2017 and sanitation data [1,2]. Travel-associated cholera cases in the UK were also reviewed.

The country-specific cholera vaccine recommendations have been removed from Mexico, Tajikistan and Thailand.

Travellers to these countries should continue to use good food and water hygiene measures.
