Country-specific cholera recommendations 2019NaTHNaC has updated the country-specific recommendations for cholera
NaTHNaC has recently reviewed and updated the cholera country-specific information and recommendations. This review was based on World Health Organization cholera case reports 2013 to 2017 and sanitation data [1,2]. Travel-associated cholera cases in the UK were also reviewed.
The country-specific cholera vaccine recommendations have been removed from Mexico, Tajikistan and Thailand.
Travellers to these countries should continue to use good food and water hygiene measures.
The latest news about larger cholera outbreaks can be found on the Outbreak Surveillance section.
