Mpox in Uganda
As of 1 July 2025, a total of 7,257 confirmed mpox cases and 44 deaths have been reported in Uganda since the outbreak began in 2024. According to the World Health Organization, community transmission of clade Ib mpox has been reported. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on mpox.
