Dengue in Samoa
As of 22 June 2025, a total of 563 confirmed dengue cases, with one associated death, have been reported in Samoa since the outbreak began in April 2025. The majority of cases are in Upolu Island. Out of 20 cases with confirmed serotypes, 85% are dengue virus type 1 (DENV-1) and 15% are dengue virus type 2 (DENV2). Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on dengue.
