Lassa fever in Nigeria

Between 1 January and 14 September 2025, a total of 7,673 suspected Lassa fever cases (895 confirmed and 166 deaths) have been reported. Cases have been reported from 21 states, and 90 percent of confirmed cases are from the states of Ondo, Bauchi, Edo, Taraba and Ebonyi.
