Measles in USA

As of 24 September 2026, 3,659 confirmed measles cases have been reported across 47 states in the United States, during 2026. This exceeds the number of cases reported for the whole of 2025 and is the highest number of measles cases reported in the US for 35 years. The highest number of cases have been reported in Pennsylvania (850), followed by South Carolina (670) and Utah (535). Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on measles.
