Leptospirosis in Spain
Since the flash flooding took place on 29 and 30 October 2024, five cases of leptospirosis have been reported. Of these, two are probable cases detected among volunteers awaiting confirmatory results. The floods affected areas in eastern Spain especially Valencia and Castilla La-Mancha.
