Chikungunya in Italy
As of 30 September 2025, a total of 323 locally acquired cases of chikungunya have been reported during 2025. Local transmission has been reported in two regions (Emilia-Romagna and Veneto). The largest outbreak (207 confirmed cases) is located in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). A smaller outbreak (50 confirmed cases) is located in the province of Verona (Veneto).
